TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

TabTrade.com opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not make it safe. But inform your decision.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.

Welcome Offer
