Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
